Staff Password Requirements

Review the staff password requirements and reset guidance to help maintain secure account access and understand current password policy limits.

Staff password requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters.

  • Must meet at least 3 of these 4:

    • Letters

    • Numbers

    • Mixed case

    • Special characters

  • No non-printable characters allowed.

  • No leading or trailing whitespace allowed.

A couple of related notes from the same page:

  • These rules were introduced because prior staff password complexity was basically just 8 characters only.

  • Existing staff were not required to immediately update their passwords; the new rules apply when they reset/set a new password.

Regarding Password age, Logoff for system inactivity, Account lockout parameters are not supported.
